Freelance SEO Content Writer - Wine & Spirits

We seek a freelance SEO content writer with a passion for wine and spirits to join our team. As an SEO content writer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimized content for our wine and spirits website. This includes writing product descriptions, blog articles, social media posts, and website copy. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of SEO best practices, and keyword research, and be able to write in a captivating and informative manner.
Rue Pinard, a leading online wine and spirits retailer, seeks a talented freelance SEO Content Writer to enrich our content and enhance our online visibility.

About the role:
As a freelance SEO Content Writer, you'll be responsible for creating engaging, informative, and SEO-friendly content about wine, spirits, and related topics. You'll work closely with our marketing team to increase brand awareness and showcase our industry expertise.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
• Write high-quality, SEO-optimized articles, blog posts, and product descriptions for our website and social media channels
• Develop content strategies aligned with our audience's search intent
• Create engaging content such as tasting notes, food pairings, and cocktail recipes
• Optimize existing content for better search results
• Collaborate with the marketing team via Slack for efficient communication
• Use Shopify Bloggle for publishing and formatting blog articles
• Maintain content calendars and meet deadlines

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a freelance writer, preferably in the wine and spirits industry
• Excellent writing skills in Dutch, with a fluent and engaging style
• Thorough knowledge of SEO principles and content marketing
• Experience in writing SEO-friendly content and conducting keyword research
• Proficiency in structuring texts with appropriate headings, subheadings, and meta descriptions
• Experience with Slack for project communication
• Knowledge of or willingness to work with Shopify Bloggle for content publication
• Affinity with wine and spirits is a plus
