Port Ellen Distillery, located on Islay, Scotland, was established in 1825 and gained renown for its distinctive peated single malts characterized by smoky and maritime notes. The distillery ceased production in 1983, making its remaining stocks highly coveted among collectors. Between 2001 and 2017, as part of Diageo's Special Releases, Port Ellen issued 17 annual releases, each showcasing the distillery's unique character and heritage.
