About Rue Pinard

Rue Pinard connects collectors, restaurants, and trade professionals to the world’s largest fine wine and spirits marketplace. As a member of Liv-ex, we operate within a global network of over 620 merchants, trading across more than 20,000 wines and spirits with a live market of over £100 million in opportunities at any time. We combine this unmatched access with personal service: trusted provenance, secure logistics, and tailored advice. From iconic allocations to mature vintages, Rue Pinard makes the international market directly accessible.

Problems We Solve

  • Scarcity & Allocations – Collectors and restaurants are often excluded from the world’s top wines due to small national allocations. We open direct access to a global pool of 20,000+ wines.

  • Lack of Transparency – Traditional distribution is opaque and price-driven by middlemen. Through Liv-ex we provide real-time market pricing on a £100m live exchange.

  • Trust & Provenance – Buyers fear fakes, poor storage, or unclear origin. Our sourcing is secured through Liv-ex verification and our own bonded logistics, guaranteeing authenticity and condition.

  • Continuity for Restaurants – Menus lose their highlights after one vintage. With our access, restaurants can source rare wines and older vintages consistently.

  • Liquidity for Collectors – Collections shouldn’t gather dust. We help collectors buy and sell with access to 620+ global merchants, Wine-Searcher, Cru Marketplace, and our own network.

  • Limited Local Choice – Consumers face narrow offers through a handful of importers. Rue Pinard connects them to the largest fine wine market in the world.

Bonded Storage Advantage

Through Liv-ex, Rue Pinard offers the full benefits of bonded storage: wines held under optimal conditions, tax and duty unpaid, in trusted warehouses. This ensures provenance, protects value, and allows seamless international trading. Collectors gain liquidity, restaurants secure continuity of supply, and buyers enjoy full confidence in authenticity and storage. Bonded storage keeps fine wine global, tradable, and in perfect condition until the moment it is needed.

Our Values

  • Authenticity – Every bottle is chosen for its provenance, craftsmanship, and soul.

  • Care & Preservation – Each bottle is treated as a masterpiece, protected with precise control of temperature, light, handling, and documentation.

  • Personal Contact – No faceless platform. You work directly with us — collectors who share your passion.

  • Flexibility – Complete freedom to drink, collect, or sell. We never lock you in.

  • Bonded Storage – Security and freedom in one: optimal conditions, tax advantages, and global market access until you choose.

Our History

Rue Pinard began in 2012, sparked by Bart Laming’s lifelong fascination with rare spirits after his unforgettable first sip of Cognac during a visit to the Hennessy cellars in 1985. His journey — from Armagnac to Burgundy to Macallan unicorns — found a counterpart in Hakan Karaca, strategist, whisky connoisseur, and logistics mastermind. Together, they grew Rue Pinard from boutique into a global destination where passion meets precision.
