About Rue Pinard

Rue Pinard, founded in 2023, is a company that specializes in rare and collectible wines and spirits. This includes iconic whiskies, vintage cognacs, aged armagnacs, and historical bottles of port and Madeira. Each bottle in our collection has been carefully chosen, comes with a verifiable background, and is packed with care.

We see fine wines and spirits as more than just beverages—they are historical pieces that reflect culture, craft, and heritage.

Our goal is to help collectors:

  • Find rare and valuable bottles
  • Sell bottles safely and with confidence
  • Build curated collections with proven authenticity and long-term value

We also offer secure, climate-controlled storage and detailed bottle inspections.

New to collecting? Rue Pinard gives you access to:

  • Historical and rare wines
  • Limited and collectible whiskies
  • Aged cognacs and armagnacs
  • Unique spirits like Chartreuse and Madeira

We also host live auctions, where collectors can place competitive bids, and we assist individuals looking to sell or consign their bottles.

Our sourcing process is thorough and professional:

  • Personal visits to private collections to inspect storage conditions
  • Direct relationships with producers and collectors
  • Review of storage history and documentation
  • Authentication and quality control upon delivery
  • Purchases through trusted global exchanges like Liv-ex and reputable wine auctions

Only bottles that meet our high standards are accepted into our collection.

Many older bottles show natural signs of aging, which are expected and accepted by collectors. These can include:

  • Slightly faded or stained labels
  • Small chips in wax capsules
  • Mild oxidation on metal capsules
  • Wrinkled or torn labels from age or storage

We clearly list any visible imperfections in product descriptions. These cosmetic issues do not usually affect the quality or value of the wine or spirit inside.

At Rue Pinard, we adhere to strict internal grading standards modeled after top-tier global merchants. We strive to ensure every wine we offer has been stored in optimal conditions throughout its life cycle. This includes monitoring for proper humidity, temperature, light exposure, and bottle orientation.

When accepting consignments or acquiring stock, we inspect each bottle individually. Bottles with high fills, intact labels, and clean capsules are prioritized. Our team may reject any item that shows signs of heat damage, seepage, mold, or mishandling.

Additionally, we offer high-resolution photos and condition reports for full transparency. If provenance or storage history is uncertain, we err on the side of caution and decline the item.

Our objective is to deliver wines that meet the expectations of even the most discerning collectors, with complete transparency about any exceptions.

A Pre-Arrival bottle is one that has been sourced but not yet physically received at our facility. These offers allow you to reserve special items ahead of public listing.

If a bottle doesn’t arrive or fails inspection, you can choose:

  • A full refund
  • A 3% credit and wait for the next shipment

Pre-arrival programs are ideal for securing in-demand bottles early, with minimal risk.

Rue Pinard guarantees that your wine will be delivered in excellent condition to the address of your choice. Every bottle is prepared for delivery in bespoke, protective packaging that is both shock-resistant and heat-insulated. Your order is insured against breakage, loss, or theft while in transit.

If, despite these precautions, damage occurs during transport, we kindly ask that you refuse the parcel and note the damage on the delivery receipt. Then contact our customer service team immediately so we can resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

In cases where delivery is significantly delayed beyond the estimated timeframe, Rue Pinard will refund the shipping fees as a gesture of goodwill.

To reduce or optimize delivery fees, clients can choose to postpone and combine multiple orders into a single shipment. This option must be selected at the final checkout page by marking the “postpone and combine” box in the message section. All individual orders must be paid in full before they can be combined.

Once you’re ready to ship, log into your Rue Pinard account and select all relevant paid orders. This will prompt our system to create a summary shipment and calculate shipping fees based on the number and size of bottles selected. Keep in mind that larger formats, such as magnums, may increase shipping costs.

Rue Pinard offers 30 days of complimentary climate-controlled storage, during which you can freely combine and postpone orders. After this period, standard storage fees will apply.

We ship worldwide and always prioritize safety. Every shipment:

  • Is packed with protective materials
  • Includes full-value insurance
  • Requires an adult signature (18+ or 21+ depending on country)

If extreme weather is expected, we may delay shipment to protect your purchase.

U.S. Orders:

  • Delivery time: 10–15 days, but Pre-Arrival can take up to 60 days
  • We currently ship to the following 42 U.S. states:
Alabama, Alaska, American Virgin Islands, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

There is a general limit of 6 bottles per week per residential address, but this restriction does not apply to formal importers. If you are importing under a formal license or through a bonded warehouse, higher volumes can be arranged.

Shipping costs are calculated per order, but the number of bottles is not always the best measure of shipping cost. For example, 6 magnums or 12 regular bottles may incur higher import or handling costs.

Prices include all taxes and import duties, and shipments are fully insured.

Important Note on U.S. Import Tax:
The U.S. government currently imposes a 10% import tax on wine produced in Europe. Wines from other regions may be subject to different taxes depending on U.S. trade policies and classification.

Tax Display for International Orders:
As soon as you select a shipping destination outside the European Union (EU), product prices on our website are shown excluding VAT (value-added tax). Depending on the country, local duties or taxes may still be payable upon delivery. (U.S.):

  • 1 bottle: $65
  • 2 bottles: $85
  • 6 bottles: $125

Europe Delivery Estimates:

  • Netherlands & Belgium: 1–2 days
  • France, Germany, EU: 2–5 days

Damaged or Incorrect Orders:

  • Contact us within 48 hours
  • Keep the packaging and take photos
  • We’ll provide a replacement or refund where possible

Finality of Orders

All sales are considered final once confirmed and paid. Orders cannot be modified, canceled, or refunded after confirmation unless explicitly covered under our refund and return policy. Please verify shipping addresses and item selections carefully before completing checkout.

Delivery Commitment

Rue Pinard and Produvin LLC guarantee that your wine or spirit is shipped in the best condition, using climate-aware, shock-resistant packaging. Most orders are shipped within 30 days from the date of confirmation. In the rare case that we cannot fulfill or ship within 30 days, you are entitled to a full refund.

For pre-arrival items and international logistics, estimated shipping timelines are indicative. Customs clearance and courier delays—especially for overseas items—may extend delivery timelines. These delays are beyond Rue Pinard's control and do not qualify for refunds. If your shipment is delayed beyond the promised period due to an error on our part, Rue Pinard will reimburse your shipping fee as a gesture of goodwill.

Preorders

Preorder items have no guaranteed ship date. They ship directly from our supplier or bonded warehouse once available. By placing a preorder, you acknowledge that these items are not eligible for the 30-day shipping guarantee, refund, or credit card chargeback.

Delivery Failures

If delivery is attempted and fails due to reasons including the absence of an adult for signature, incorrect address, or failure to retrieve from a pickup location, the customer assumes responsibility for all shipping and storage costs. Returned shipments are held for 30 days; after that, they may be forfeited without refund.

Damaged or Incorrect Deliveries

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, you must notify us within 5 days of receipt. Photographic evidence is required. Do not discard packaging. Rue Pinard reserves the right to replace or refund at its discretion, and may request the return of the affected item(s).

Packaging Variations

Producers may update their label or bottle design. Bottles received may differ in appearance from images shown. Label or packaging differences that do not affect the product content or vintage are not valid grounds for return or dispute.

Fraud & Chargebacks

We take credit card fraud seriously. Chargebacks or disputes that contradict this policy may be legally challenged. By placing an order, you authorize Rue Pinard and its partners to resolve billing issues internally and waive your right to dispute charges unless Rue Pinard fails to fulfill its contractual obligation.

Final Thoughts

Whether you're starting a collection or adding to an established one, Rue Pinard provides trusted expertise and exclusive access. Every bottle we handle is treated with respect and care.

We look forward to helping you explore, learn, and collect.
